Music Lessons

Having over eight years of experience in teaching music, I am excited to help those wanting to learn or improve their instruments, no matter their ability!

I have an Advanced Certificate in instrumental and vocal teaching from Trinity Laban, alongside teaching in my own time here in London. I offer both in-person and online lessons, no matter the instrument.

Currently I am a member of the ISM (Incorporate Society of Musicians) and charge lessons according to the set union prices. For those interested in studying with me, I offer a free 30-minute trial lesson to get to know each other and show how a lesson with me would usually run.

Saxophone

Teaching the saxophone is where my passion lies. Whether you’re an adult beginner with their first instrument, or a young prodigy wanting to zap through the Grade exams, I’m happy to help guide you towards your goals. I hold experience in preparing and entering pupils for ABRSM Grade exams, teaching musical new-comers the very basics of music and the technicality of the instrument, and those who just want to play for fun.

My speciality is in Classical Saxophone, but I do hold the ability to teach basic jazz, rock and blues to those wanting to start out. The wonderful charm of the saxophone is that it is one of the most versatile instruments in the world which is welcomed into any genre of music.

Music Theory

I believe music theory to be an incredibly important component when learning an instrument, no matter the genre. The language of music is full of mathematics and history, and so I am able to help guide you through learning music theory, whether you have no prior knowledge, or want to brush up on your theory. I use the ABRSM music theory resources when teaching, and hold a Distinction in Grade 5 theory, alongside studying it at higher education.

Piano

Having played the piano since the age of 8, and teaching it since the age of 16, I now specialise in teaching beginners the beautiful instrument, alongside the basic knowledge needed to read and understand music. I hold a Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 piano and am currently working towards taking a Diploma in piano.

Language

Alongside being a native British English speaker, I’m also able to offer lessons in either German or Danish to those who wish. I have more than two years experience in teaching saxophone in German, and am able to include both the German/Danish musical terms and the English to optimise the student’s knowledge of musical lingo.
